Episode II

We are building a new world!

The last few days on Atys have seen a round of political meetings culminating in a major event, the opening of the new lands of the Aelius Dunes and the creation of the Temples and Sanctuaries of Jena and Ma-Duk.

The first inkling of the changes ahead was given in speeches by the Karavan and Kami where they announced that they were intending to build great structures in all the capital cities and asked the Homins of their faith to aid them in this by going through new teleporters to the old lands and gathering specific materials. These would then be processed by the crafters of each faith into the building blocks required for the new edifices. Homins were warned that not only the hordes of Kitin, but also the opposing side would try to prevent these buildings from standing tall in all the lands of Atys. These speeches were given in all lands that all homins might hear of this new development in their realms and it was stressed to both sides that it was important for the construction work to be completed in all four capitals not just those of a particular faith.

After some thought, the race leaders of each Homin community also made pronouncements on the subject. They urged their subjects to support their traditional faith, but gave them the opportunity to allow the buildings the other faith to grow unmolested on their lands. Of the four races of Hominkind, only the Trykers agreed to allow the Kamis to build in a spirit of toleration by Fairhaven, where their sanctuary would be watched over by guards. The Matis, Fyros and Zorai all demonstrated that they did not wish alien structures in their terrains and refused to grant these any protection. All the leaders encouraged the homins to do their utmost best and to ensure that the wishes of the Kami or the Karavan were fulfilled.

Then, as a finale to the talking, the Karavan and Kami spoke again in each country. They explained what they wished the Homins to do, and that the ways to the old lands were now open and the building work had commenced. The Homins were then led to the nearest site of their race’s faith which were situated a just short distance from the capital city. Here they were able to question other Karavan or Kami personnel who explained the setup, issued the relevant quests, and allowed the Homins to take the teleporter to the Aelius Dunes.
