On Friday evening the call went out - The Kami and Karavan had called on all their supporters for aid. It seemed that there was something strange happening in the Nexus and the Kitin hordes were thronging the whole region attacking everything in their part.

 

The Homins of Atys replied nobly, and slowly the teams of helpers gathered. The Kami spoke to the Kami representative, the Karavan their recruiting officer for additional information and background. It gradually became clear that both teams had the same aim; they were attempting to reach some strange sap source or artefact that was guarded in Destiny’s end by a living massed barrier of Kitins. Rumour put the Kamis strongly behind the strange happenings, but accounts of what had actually occurred were confused and obscure. So the race to reclaim the sap was on!

 

Both teams mustered their war bands of about fifty Homins in number and set off bravely to take their required goals on the way to Destiny’s End. There was a Kami and a Karavan base which it was essential to defend from the foul monsters, and a Kitin infested camp to reconquer from the huge blue and gold bosses who had taken up residence there to direct their thronging chitinous minions. The air was thick with the scent of magic and bright with sparkling spell-effects as the Homins attacked again and again hacking their way through the seemingly endless Kitin ranks.

 

The first attempts ended in rapid disaster for both sides, but the brave fighters regrouped and came back again and again for more action. The Kami supporters took slightly longer to reach the camp, the brave Karavan team reaching the giant Kitin and his countless army slightly in the lead. Concentrating on the enormous chief, they attacked in unison, and after many long minutes of glorious battle he fell crumpled and defeated to the ground.

 

This victory freed the way for the Karavan to cross the living barrier first and to carry off the strange sap source before the Kami could manage to reclaim it. In return for their great aid, the entire Karavan army was granted the proud title of Karavan champion! Rewards of fame or dappers were also paid to everyone who participated in the great fight.

 

Well done to everyone who took part, the eternal struggle is a continuing battle so keep a keen eye out for the next time you are needed by the Kamis or Karavan!
