Homins, I bring you a brief biography of Learoy and the text of last night's speech:

Learoy Shilly

Belonging to the Tryker Defense Standardization Union, Learoy Shilly is District Supervisor of Fairhaven, working side-by-side with other District Supervisors of the other Lakeland towns. This union's purpose,like all, is to moderate the standards of Tryker armor and weapons.

Learoy is a typical Tryker, who while enjoying fun and food, seeks greater things, As the district supervisor of Fairhaven he is familiar with all the rules and regulations that have been set by the previous and current senators. He now seeks to simplify things and only keep the most necessary of rules.

Tryker law and ruling should be simple and efficient and Learoy believes that this will make the Tryker Federation a better place to live in, a fairer society, and a more useful player in the international field.

A bureaucrat and administrator, Learoy Shilly would also simplify Foreign policy and the armed forces.

Homins we all know that The Lake Lands could be doing so much better.

Our land has everything going for it; creative flair, a tradition of tolerance, a love of freedom, a talent for enterprise, a concern for the underdog and the ability to pull together in a crisis.

The Lake Lands are the pride of Atys. But today we are heading in the wrong direction. Far too many people are held back from achieving their full potential. A thousand everyday frustrations prevent the Tryker people from living fulfilled lives.

I, Learoy, know that leaders don’t have all the answers. But if they govern with the right values, they can make a real difference.

So long as this continues, the people of these lands are deprived of the chance to be all they can be. They shouldn’t have to settle for this.

At this election there is a chance for us to be optimistic about our future again. People have been let down by a Government that has lost touch with them. At the polling station you can elect a candidate that focuses on the things that matter. A candidate that acts - and delivers results. A candidate that does exactly what he says.

I will seek to simplify and clean out in the many and often very bureaucratic laws and rules this land is governed by. This will ensure a set of laws that every Tryker citizen is able to understand.

I will seek to have only a basic set of laws broad enough to deal with every situation that may arise in the Lake Lands, thus enabling the common Tryker to go about his daily life without worrying about complicated laws set by the late Governor and his advisors.

I will seek to continue and advance the Tryker Defense Standardization Unions work to moderate the standards of Tryker armor and weapons. For too long have we relied on weapons and armors from our neighboring races. By establishing a common set of standards for Tryker crafts, we can ensure that our defense forces only wield the best and finest Tryker crafts should a military situation call for it

For me the heart of politics is all about people – their hopes and aspirations. People want the freedom, security and opportunity to get on in life.

People are tired of politicians who talk and talk, but fail to deliver. They’re tired of politicians saying one thing before an election and doing something else afterwards.

This manifesto sets out clearly my priorities for what I will do and the values by which I will govern. People have had enough talk. It’s time for action.
