An invitation to IETF VWRAP and the SL AWG

Added by Saijanai about 5 years ago

Hey, great stuff.

I'm Lawson English (Saijanai Kuhn in Second Life), the den mother of the SL Architecture Working Group. Allegedly we help Linden Lab design the next generation Second LIfe.

Currently, our most important project involves the IETF working group, VWRAP (Virtual Worlds Regions Agents Protocol) which is meant to allow SL-like virtual worlds (e.g. any world that uses a classic WOW/EQ client-server design) to interoperate with other worlds that follow VWRAP. Ryzom almost certainly fits into the potentially VWRAP-compatible category and I'd like to ask any and all developers involved in Ryzom to consider participating in the VWRAP working group and also to log into Second LIfe and join AWGroupies. We also have chat bridges linking the in-world Second Life group IM discussion with various IRC, Jabber, etc., rooms, so feel free to join those as well/instead. Also feel free to raid our group for potential contributors to your project.

Cheers.
