Ring and Mainland, require two server?

Hi developers,
I would test on my PC the Ryzom game, but I have one question. If I want to start togheter the ring and the mainland in the same time, I must to start them on two servers different or not?

Ring is in fact a dedicated shard (server). It's the same as the game shard but with different options. So if you want to run mainland and a ring, you need 2 shards
