Hi,
Please could you try to launch Ryzom from console with : /opt/ryzom/ryzom.sh ?
It should display some messages if there is an error.
Did you update Ryzom to last version in Software Center ? I added some error dialogs.

You're welcome :)
Previous version from Software Center had some problems :( But it's fixed in last version :)
If you find other bugs in Ubuntu version don't hesitate to report them :)

Hi,
Im having a similar problem with the same builds. Trying to start ryzom from the shortcut just gets me a quick pop up that says patching, then nothing.
Tried starting from the console per your suggestion and i get this:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
ERR 0186d780 driver_opengl_window.cpp 1090 setDisplay <Unknown> : glXChooseVisual() failed
Theres a lot more but i believe this may be the important part(?)
Seems like the issue may be a video driver or something to do with OpenGl maybe, but I'm still a linux novice and aren't really sure where to start other than system updates haha.
Hoping maybe someone can save me from doing a hundred google searches trying to figure it out. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

It seems like you don't have any 3D video driver :p
Please try to activate ATI proprietary driver in control panel :)

Yeah haha, this game is the first remotely graphically intensive application Ive attempted on the linux boot so i didnt know.
I just installed, restarted, and activated. All set now.
Thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it :)
