The one main feature that is missing to play the game on a touchscreen is a "click to walk" function, where you click anywhere on the ground and walk to that point. This is especially important when the game works on tablets.

Hallo,

ich hab gestern schon mit den GMs im Spiel gechattet. Sie sagten mir ich soll hier ein neues Ticket aufmachen. Folgendes Problem: In der Gegend hinter dem Tunnel in Silan hängt mein Chat völlig. Das komische ist, dass das Spiel ansich flüssig läuft. Es passiert auch ab und zu mal, dass der char einfach weiter läuft oder sich im Kreis dreht.
Wie gesagt das seltsame ist, dass es eben wirklich nur in diesem Gebiet ist. Das Spielt läuft ansonsten genau wie sonst. Also es ruckelt nicht mehr oder sonst was.
Ich habe es gestern auf dem Maingebiet(Zyros, Mattis und Zorai) mit einem Testchar probiert auch hier tritt das Problem nicht auf. Hier hat mich Nordlicht netter weise begleitet, damit ich etwas laufen kann ;) Aber wie gesagt auch hier gibt es keine Probleme.

Noch kurz zum System: Ubuntu 10.10 auf Thinkpad T60p und Nvidea Grafikkarte.
Andere Spiele wie X-Plane laufen ohne Probleme.

Wie gesagt das Problem tritt ja nur da auf Silan auf also wirklich nicht so schlimm. Aber wollte das Ticket trotzdem schreiben, dass ihr Bescheid wisst.
Aber falls sonst keiner das Problem hat würde ich es jetzt nicht so hoch einstufen ;)

Ryzom - Feature #1356 (New): Emote Sheets

Attached are my fully filled out emote sheets. Repacked on the server, these files will enable emotes to be played back on any unmodified client. Repacking the client version of these sheets ( emot.packed_sheets and text_emotes.packed_sheets ) also works, as long as the original animation_set.packed_sheets is being used.

I did not bother diff'ng these files, as the year+ old originals in the repository are essentially blank.

Ryzom - Bug #1355 (New): Free zone / Guild zone PVP relation code

In game situation:
A enters PVP zone and waits 30second timer to become vulnerable. A then leaves PVP zone, 120sec countdown timer begins.
B sees A before 120sec is up and is able to attack A. A cannot attack B because B is not vulnerable to PVP.

Code responsible to this should be in CPVPFreeZone::getPVPRelation() and CPVPGuildZone::getPVPRelation()

Both functions lack proper check to make sure that both user and target PVP modes match and they simply return Enemy.
if PVP modes do not match, then I think NeutralPVP should be returned.

On high resolution monitors and for people with bad eyesight, some interface elements are difficult to see.

A UI scaling functionality, where the user could choose to scale the UI by a factor of his choice would solve this problem. All elements would be scaled with this factor, including images, texts, windows.

Ryzom - Bug #1325 (New): no response here when hit create account menu on login

I'v check out the source code,under the guide found at http://dev.ryzom.com/projects/ryzom/wiki i successfuly compiled the source,configred the server and client on windows 7.After i started the server, there some errors:
1)no response here when hit create account menu on login screen

2)try a random account,hit connect, stay on the black screen after show the error tip window
   3)no response here when hit game configuration menu on login screen
     there's a message in client.log file, ...can't find ryzom configurator : ryzom_configuration_rd.exe
   4)when login to admin web using guest account, show a error message
     Can't connect to the callback server 'localhost:46700'... 
     i checked localhost's listening port, 46700 is ok.why? 
I'v doubt about my compiled version, and download a new binary client version here http://dev.ryzom.com/projects/ryzom/wiki/WindowsBinaries, tried the same situation.

Admin Panel doesn't fully work under PHP 5.3.3 because the Admin Panel is using the old PHP Variables.

PHP Variables Changed:

from $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS to $_COOKIES
from $HTTP_POST_VARS to $_POST
from $HTTP_GET_VARS to $_GET
from $HTTP_SERVER_VARS to $_SERVER
from $HTTP_ENV_VARS to $_ENV

from $HTTP_POST_FILES to $_FILES

Attached there's a .diff patch created from a clean source. Thanks to rti :)

I'm not sure if this is going to affect anyone using older php versions, might have to discuss it.

I'm experiencing a crash which happens more and more often (let's say every 30 minutes), especially since the last official patch (I don't know if it is linked).

Unfortunately, I have no crash trace.

The only message I get is from my terminal :

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range'
what(): basic_string::substr
Abandon

I'm up to date according to the ryzom_update.sh command.

How can I provide more help to identify this bug ?
