At line 991 in fe_receive_sub.cpp of the FES, there is a "
msgout2.serial( const_cast<CInetAddress&>(clienthost->address()) );
" inbetween the "
string fromAddr
" and "
CLoginCookie cookie
", which should not be there, according to "
cbClientConnection
" in the EGS. Assuming it's a bug and not an ugly hack. (There is also another CL_CONNECT elsewhere in the FES which does format the message correctly according to the EGS format.)

Also, does anyone know why it actually sends a CL_CONNECT after CL_DISCONNECT in this part of the code? Is it related to the quit to character selection?

Hello,
I'm trying to get Ryzom to work, but no sucess :/

I installed the game from Ubuntu Software Center on my Ubuntu 11.04 64 bits, tryed to run the game, logged in, made my char... but when i got to the load screen, it got stuck. Then i found a solution here on the bug tracker, put the files and finaly managed to get past the load screen.

But now i get a black screen :/
So after i log in, the load ends, i get a black screen with the sound and cursor. First, that was the issue.
Then today looking for a way to run it with Wine, i found that i could make the game run with OpenGL. So i put the OpenGL flag on my client.cfg file on the Linux native client, and well... now the load screen keep blinking, so i get stuck at load screen again.

Any help with it? Anyone getting the same issue?
I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 64 bits, like i said, with a Intel i5 Sandy Bridge with Intel HD 3000 graphic card. I'm also not using the default intel drivers, but this one: https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/graphics-drivers/ with mesa 8.1.

My client.cfg is in the attachments. If you need any more files or info, just ask, i REALLY wanna play the game and i'm not really happy with playing with it wine :)

Hallo,

WebTT is configured to point at the 'translation' folder from Ryzom which has a structure like this:

translation

translated

diff

work

If I import a raw file such as wk.uxt from a subfolder such as translated the file that it imports is "translated\wk.uxt". When you import this the URL becomes:

http://webtt.somewhere.com/admin/raw_files/import/translated\wk.uxt

The result is a 404 Not Found error because the \ breaks the parameter path. The file name needs to be sanitized for Unix-style paths before being appended to the 'Import' link.

Currently the reverb environments are manually created in the audio mixer user classes (CAudioMixerUser::initDevice) and there's even a comment saying "// todo: loading this data from a file or something would be neat". I don't see why it couldn't be. It is a string and a series of float values used to create a new object. It could be "neat" as the comment states.

Error:
Access Violation exception generated at 0x77062D37, thread attempts to read at 0x2E7C814.
The thread attempted to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.

I'm not quite to sure why It's giving me this error if you need more information I can provide you with it.
Also when I changed the setWindowTitle to my own name it will say at the top of the client when it shows the error it says <NotExist:my custom name that I put> is there any way to remove the notexist part or do I need to fix some other things.

The Translation Manager plugin currently supports 2 of the 3 translation file formats used by Ryzom Core - worksheets and phrases. One additional translation type is used by the client primarily for UI translations - the UXT format.

3ds max 2012 changed in huge amount the include file and folder structure. Hence, the max plagins had to be adopted to support also 3ds max SDK 2012. Unfortunately a wrong include of the file functions.h changed the source code in that way, someone doesn't receive any compiler error. But using the plugins in 3ds max does not export the c++ coded functions to max script. Max script throws an error: function or object undefined.

The added patch fixes the source code to the right include and all plugins work as expected
