.MAX files have animations?

I Downloaded some models to try, i downloaded .max files and opened in 3DS Max 9 model seems ok but, here is the question, is there animations in it? cuz i didn't see any.

If not, how i get animated models in 3DS Max? or Can i ?

Yes, for example in :

Stuff\caravan\Agents\Actors\Female\animation\anims
