creative common 3.0 and ryzom

Added by bristle about 7 years ago

i initially want to try out ryzom because it was open source, but i found it took longer then i had time for. or maybe i had too much on my plate. i usually play around with opensim but until recently it had no mesh import. things have change now, and i was able to import some ryzom models.

i can do the max ok (not competely, but ok) but what about collada? i know that it was for planned for 2011. i believe i can combine ryzom models with opensim. and even have the models for unity and torque3D. i know that torque has a collada2_something convert for their stuff. for unity, all they have is fbx, blender, and collada animation formats. for opensim, they have the collada and then you can wear you model (if it is bone right) and using bvh to animation it.

of course i would like the models to be one format. maybe collada. then the software to make it work for whatever; ryzom, unity, torque, opensim, and whatever. unfortunately i can look under-the-hood for unity, so that is no help to me. for ryzom i have no experience with Cmake and so i am afraid of it. i use VS but i cant used it for other OSes.

any suggestions?
