prblm configuring

hey i have just downloadede the source and started configuring it on my ubuntu 12.04..but i dont get what this statement means :
" Make a VirtualHost (usually in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf) for the login scripts and admin app (replace DocumentRoot with your own path)."
sry if its vry silly question.

We are using virtualhost to access folders which are not in the default web folder.
