world editor problem

ok I installed the downloadable world editor and followed all the steps to install it but when I open r:\code\ryzom\tools\leveldesign\install\world_editor_continents choose newbieland.worldedit nothing happens. the directions say this will load the map but it just stays white and say not a valid zone in the bottom left corner of the program.. can someone help me on this thanks
