I kept wondering how everyone ended up with avatars that were all done in basically the same, but wonderful, style. Then while perusing the forums, an appropriate activity for a newbie like myself, I finally figured it out...doh!

Theres a number of us that do avatars and the such, but mostly is the wonderful Ema :)

I Made my own, but i dont usualy draw 'ryzom-style' drawings :) if you'd like a sketch (which could be cropped to avatar size) just yell and one of us crazy artists will be glad to draw ya :)

Ok, i have a pic to show but it wont upload to photobucket at more than 200 by 100 ish pixels! its TEENY! but the original drawing was done on 11x14 paper *sobs*

Anyone have a better idea on where to store my images? i get this problem often and no matter what format i save in.. its coming out an itty bitty picture! *sulks*

(and if anyone has any tips on scanning to make the scan look as good as the original..... :p)

As I entered my apartmen this day there was a small package lying on the floor, probably pushed under the door.
I was curious to whom it was from as I opened it and as I saw its content I admit that I gasped.

I cannot find the words to describe it, yet so I have placed it here for all to see.

Bootleg? I found it on deviantart.com when I did a Zorai search. I then flipped it horizontal and sized it to fit into the avatar... but it would be nice to have an original one.

A little bit of background on Mei Pi-Lao:
Born in the old lands a few years before the Swarming began, Mei's father was a Kamist who believed in Jena as the supreme Kami rather than Ma-Duk. He never discouraged her questions, saying that true faith is a circle and that one who wanders will inevitably return to the beginning. The radical ideas that grew in her mind about the Kami and Karavan caused friction between her and the family of Kian Shi, her friend and eventually husband-to-be. They would never be married, however, for Mei met her death at the claws of a kitin scout during the journey to the new lands.
