I was getting about 20 frames per second (Kinda low for me, but hey, there was a lot going on!), and a ping of 200. My rig details can be found here: http://www.xfire.com/profile/aardnebby/ at the bottom of the page.

Spent a lot of cash on my machine, very proud of it ;) Though I kinda want a couple of Raptor drives in RAID 0 configuration, and a second 7900GTX card in SLI to really beef it up... but maybe later *grins*

Though your ping shouldnt change too much unless you have bandwidth problems, since Ryzom is very low bandwidth. I have found I can get my other net usage right up to a certain point without my ryzom ping changing in the slightest, then _one_ kilobit/second difference in my torrent upload can increase my ping to 800-1600. So if you are using other stuff make sure you throttle it to avoid messing your ping up!

Yes.. Arabic, sorry for the mistake: in French , Arabian (population) and Arabic (language) shares the same word, ie : Arabe, hence the mistake. ;)

As for Mektoub, this is a phonetic transcription .. as you may know, such process is never 100% accurate. The expression however is of common use in the Magreb, North of Africa and specifically in Algeria: the exact signification would be "it is written": you'll use it to mention the destiny, fate of a person.

speaking about this, I can't help but to think of Greece, Athens city: if you've been there, trying to look for the "Pyre" port (or any other address) can be a pain: it's written is so many different ways.. sometimes, you'll hardly find a sense, haha.

Did a little scetch of some Matis jewelry a few minutes ago.
I think I´ll elaborate on this and maybe do a series on the Races Jewels later.
I always wanted to know what these looked like, we only know of a Tryker pendant so far. The one that comes with one of the armors skins.

I really don't think I’m ever going to get around to completing my picture, so I figured that I may just as well show it as it is... I've had it in development for ages now, well over a year I would think, but when I got around colouring the eye I was stuck working out what it was I wanted to do. And in the end I just gave up.
Several months later I tried to work on it again, and ended up colouring the neck and part of the leg but overall I wasn't too pleased and stopped working on it for good this time.

As for the reason why I originally started drawing it.. Well, while I enjoyed ryzom as a karavan player there was something about the kami art style which I found very intriguing. They were very alien like, but at the same time most had humanoid traits and featured various atys like elements, organic, etc. I guess they just interested me alot. :D
so anyway, the idea for this version was that while playing all you ever see is kami either waiting around or blasting stuff.. so i figured there must be some kami out there somewhere with the single goal of preserving our world, and after using my rubber a whole lot to alter and change my drawing I eventually settled with this one.

And since I’m here, this is also a picture inspired by ryzom's art. I think it’s from around the summer of 2004, at this point I had not seen any najab either (purple bumps).

And these, 1 - 2 - 3, were drawn for a different game but I drew inspiration from ryzom at the time. And you can find some quick doodles here, here and here.

Keep up the great work everyone. :) There are so many talented people within our community.

...so I pulled a typical LATE night (early morning...4 or 5 am?) playing session. I logged in, noticed how quiet it was round town, and started digging again! (I cant stop since I got the ability back..or should say since I stopped being a total NOOB) then looked up and saw a million presents!
I opened a HUGE number of them before I asked in chat if it was ok. I thought they would re-spawn...
I got a lot of stuff before I slapped myself and stopped taking em all.

There's an awful lot of pages to search and I couldn't find quite what I was looking for..

Is there a database of screenshots of armor, weapons, clothing, et cetera? Newbie kit is always pretty lackluster and I've been wondering what the high-end game looks like, y'know?

you can currently not mix and match them, I think, but hopefully that function of the site will be restored. ( hint hint )

It also doesn't show Aen, which is gorgeous.

Not sure if you'll find pictures of weapons anywhere... haven't seen that except in game, but there are some nice ones.
