Ok, I break my promise about posting here again.

Please allow us to DISABLE those noises...I always have SFX turned off just so I don't hear the annoying combat grunts and yells. So I end up missing all the nice environment sounds. :(

Things I would like to see (some of these have or may have been mentioned, if so, count it as seconding their suggestion)

1) Compass north - show north all the time, not just when "North" is chosen. (as a second arrow in a different colour)
2) Guild member online/offline indicator - (restricted to officers if you want to do it that way)
3) Craft from apartment inventory, but only when close to the apartment, seems silly to have it from the stables and not from the apartment.
4) Merchant filter - it would be nice if the money filter worked on a per item basis rather than the whole stack.
5) Rites - either finish the ones which have been half finished for more than a year, or take them out. Make a decision.
6) Prospecting - a prospect action for mission mats would be nice, more than one for the different types (Construction, etc) if required

that's all I can think of at the moment...

p.s. It's quite funny how many of the suggestions seen on here are from other MMOG's ;)

Yikes thats alot of posts.. I havn't read them all but if this is a duplicate then i applogise..

How about having an outfit option... like the ability to compile an outfit of armour and/or jewels..
rather than moving them 1 by 1 to the bag and equipping then 1 by 1 .. this can be tedious...

this could be limited to a players apartment i suppose and a limited number of outfit configurations given to each player.
also an "un-equip all" coud be handy or "move outfit to"...

I would certainly have a smile on my face if i logged on and found this feature had been added.

in addition to this... which i'm sure you've heard a million times.. i'll just mention 2 things... speed cap on daggers and... (please) make range combat more acessable and worthwhile to players.

More than anything else: A Kipee Volume control knob.

(Or just turn them down about 50%)

Re: Forums: What Bugs You The Most? (by Xavier Antoviaque)

Hmm... I'm new here and I didn't find the interface that annoying. Most features that I would like to see are already mention, but here's some of my thoughts:

1. Make the character animations be separate the emotes, instead of the current system. Finding the right emote to play the animation I want can be tiring. Emotes can be roleplayed. More then that, if I had control over animations only, I could roleplay much better then now, when I have to use default emotes, that sometimes doesn't make sense with the animations they are assined to.

2. If fiber is the only harvestable resource for both clothing and grip, then why do I need prospecting stanzas for both grip and cloth? Both prospection actions will find the same spots. This is true for other materials as well and it doesn't make much sense at all (Unless Nevrax plans to add new material types at later time).

3. An option for middle-click info, instead of right-click, choose info could help :)

4. An option for my friendlist to be global (accesible for all characters). Same for my keys and window configuration.

Re: Forums: What Bugs You The Most? (by Xavier Antoviaque)

Didn't think I saw this in all the posts I read, also i wholeheartedly agree with almost every post from iphdrunk =P Those we're mainly the issues I would of liked to see fixed.
Ability to duplicate windows. I redo my skills bar ALOT, and sometimes I rearrange bar 3 with bar 7 say.. if I had 2 bars open i could drag the skills back and forth over the 2 bars.. or even leave 2 open for twice the clickable skills =).

Other things I agreed with are being able to craft direct from my APT. I put alot of mats in there to craft for guildmates etc and going thru to find what I need moving it, crafting, and moving leftovers back etc is tedious.

Please make jewels and other things that are identicle STACKABLE!!
Especially jewels!! =) I must spend 30 minutes selling all that stuff.

If it's not made stackable maybe you can add in standard windows features for mass selecting.. Hold CTRL key to select things one by one or hold SHIFT and select top to bottem and all the inbetween items =)

Windows Resizing in the event you can make it verticle or horizontal. For instance a window with icons in it will move the icons into place as its dragged so virtual and window possibility is an option =) This will give us maximum desktop customization.

--------------Off subject a bit---------------
Another post gave me this idea I had to throw in. You could do this a few different ways ;).
Sell MASTER Tickets that never run dry for like 5 million each or something. This way we can buy master tickets for our most used ports. prefereably make them weightless, we got enough to carry w/o 50 ports. If you wanted to take this a step further make a rite that allows us to buy these to begin with.. The only problem would be buying kami/kara tickets while nuetral as masters... you could possibly make those inactive upon conversion with a temple buyback option ;)
--------------Disregard possibly--------------
The above would be more then a minor fix, but at least it's out there for someone to check out now =P.

allow a harvest action to take the remaining quantity in a source - even though it is less than the increment your harvesting pulls. If I can routinely pull 19 mats per dig, I want to be able to get them from a source that says it has 19 in it, not just 20 and above.

and a better indication of source quantity would be great, maybe not going back to the original partially filled bars - they were patched out for some reason, but as part of a knowledge brick maybe..

*added.. Indication on crafted items at merchants, of what boost they have.. sap, focus, hp, stam.

and i agree with Petej about the static skillbar, so many slots are taken up by duplicated actions.

Or, which may be simpler to implement:

A macro command to "Go Back to last handbar", or rather "Select Last Shortcut Bar" in ingame terminology, would be great.

I keep all those crucial self-heals and auras on handbar 1 and made macros to use them with a keystroke, but then I have to use another keystroke to switch back to the handbar I was just using, too often getting the wrong one (and all my melee handbars look so alike :().

One mention of this already but it is really, really annoying and deserves seconding:

An opportunity to Confirm or Cancel when deleting an action from a handbar.

1.) Equip profiles so you can change full armour, weapon and jewel set with 1 button, including the ability to assign dodge or parry mode to the profile.

2.) Make packer storage bigger as they should be able to carry at least 4 times the weight of a little homin :)

3.) Why dont homins get blasted backwards when they get hit by a powerful spell or explosion, it would be nice to see players get knocked over by spells or melee attacks etc

4.) More auras or magical items would be nice like invisibility, accelerated attacks, damage multiplier

5.) Level 250 affliction spells could effect a team, team stun or blind would be nice

6.) Raise the skill trees to 500

7.) Should be more special items or armour sets dropped by bosses

8.) How about being able to fuse 2 players together for a short time creating 1 player with their stats combined, could be a fun concept

I would like the ability to filter mats and items in the guild inventory like is possible with merchants.

Also I'd like crafted items to stack if the Q and stats are equal, and therefore be able to sell stacks of items to merchants.

Yes I noticed the other posts but these would make a real difference :)

  1. That the gender issues with emotes, etc. are not already fixed
  2. That I'm not able to access mats in my appartement or guildhall, if I want to craft there
  3. That I'm not able to use the same filters on appartment and guild inventories that I can use on the merchants
  4. That there are no special chat channels during outpost fights for attacker and defender
  5. That there are only a few rites
  6. That the camera always centers anew if I use an action during combat
  7. Not beeing able to bind key press to an action. At the moment you bind the action to one key.
  8. That I don't have a shortcut bar with standard actions that I have to place on several hands, like Invulnarability eg.

Also...

Re: Forums: What Bugs You The Most? (by Xavier Antoviaque)

it would be nice to have a review of the craft system, the numerical values and the statistics. The rounding can be a bit annoying and some things don't make much sense:

* rather than having all the values on a 100 scale, since most stats are proportional, why can't we have the pre-craft values equal to the final stat?
Craft windows could show e.g.

Durability (white bar) 312/420
Dodge (white bar) +1/+2
Forest resist +n/+M etc.

* Fix or improve rounding errors: some examples
- An amplifier showing 96 precraft (pha based) results in 96 after craft while a zun based one showing 95 gets a 97 after craft (depending on recipee and both high quality).
- A light armor with 100 dodge sometimes results in a +1 and sometimes a +2, depending on the recipee. Same for 100 parry in heavy armors getting +2/+3.
- The damage done by a spell can be 2964, 2968, in boosted ones 3194, 3195. etc. Those are minor, but other stats aren't.

actually, I'd thought that maybe they could incorporate the OPs into the extra storage. We have a number of spots on an OP to build stuff, currently only various drills. Why not have it so that we can use a space to set up a warehouse of sorts that adds additional space to the GH.

I realize this is no longer in the 'small changes' section, but I think its a potential idea for the future

-the female voice for Dual weapon, 2hd sword, axes + maces is absoluty bleedin' awful..... Sounds like i'm giving birth to an overweight hedgehog

-right click menu option on a player target to add to friends list

-/target to work upto 500m (as range of tracking is)

-lack of player storage, that can be crafted from, i carry 300 bulk yet packer only 500? or even hiring static storage like boxes.

-packer tethers(act as stable) in markets, i'd far rather craft in a market than at a stables esp when closer to gh + appt

-make GH part of region chat again

- npc mats above q100, i've 100s million of dapper to spend and grind mats is the only thing i spend it on, yet supply is not nearly close to demand and i loath harvesting.

Oh yeah! And an actual benefit to walking or running. I.E. Not as easily agroed while walking.

Also, all this business about not liking certain sounds. Don't remove 'em or turn 'em down. Break down the sounds settings the way darn near any other game i've ever played does, so we can pick and choose what we want to hear. I like the Kipee noises, and most mob noises...but turning some down and some others up (to make it sound better) would seem to fix a lot of those problems.

We got OP's, we got global FvF, the changes to Umbra have added nothing positive, they only make it more difficult and frustrating for everyone who goes there. When I sent a ticket about it, a GM told me that Nevrax wants us to make our affiliations formal, thereby, your friends all join the same guild, if that happens then there ends up being 1 Kami and 1 Karavan guild and we're left with FvF warfare once again. Silly and unrealistic. Umbra PvP rules are redundant and unnecessary, it should either be put back the way it was (open PvP) or have the same rules as the other 4 lands.

It's always been "called" GvG, at least as far as I remember... But it should be more optional, mainly in that by default you can always react the same with guildies, but if you're in a team with people of another guild you should still be able to get heals and such... This does appear to be closer to what it was intended for, but farther from being practical.

I can't believe I forgot about this:

Picking up the compass/radar window to move it around the screen is a mystical art even more obscure than weather prediction by numbers! Could you please give it a tiny little handle or make it's frame ... ummm ... pick-up-able? :) Maybe a handle right in the middle?

Edit :
LOL I just thought I'd check on this, it's been so long since I played around with my desktop setup and got it the way I want it. A vague area around top centre of the window seems to be very reliable now :D

Guild Information Sorting + Currently Active Flag

I didn't read through the huge number of posts in this thread to see if this was addressed, but it is a HUGE pet peave of mine. It seems that it would be fairly easy to organize the guild alphabetically by section (GL/HO/O/M). It would be a lot easier to maintain a members list if this were implemented. I would also very much like to see some of the same functionality found in the contact list available in the guild info window. I would like to see members that are currently online and be able to message them from a central list, rather than pick through a hundred others on a bulky general contact list.

On a side note, a recent patch removed the ability to resize the guild window. I would request that the ability be restored as it is now very difficult to peruse the list. Did I mention that scrolling is pointless as it scrolls 5+ members at a time?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Re: Forums: What Bugs You The Most? (by Xavier Antoviaque)

First of all, I absolutely love this game just as it is, but feel it would be even better with the following modifications:

1. The ability to filter out Teleportation Pacts (tickets) in your inventory. There are times that I just don't need to "see" all 30 or so of my "tickets" in my inventory. :)

2. Being able to put spaces in map flags. So, instead of "KoDKaraTP" the flag could be "KoD Kara TP".

3. The Contact List should *stay* alphabetically sorted if you select to display it that way.

4. It would be very nice to have a message in System Info whenever a player on your Contact List logs in or out of the game (and a toggle to turn this feature off/on). Example: Spriteh has logged on.

5. A /hug emote. :)

6. Allow players to "log out to the character selection screen". This is probably not a "small" issue, but it sure would be nice not to have to completely exit the game, just to switch characters.

7. Fix the improper use of pronouns. For example, when a female character offers to trade with me, the message is something like: "MissElizabeth wants you to trade with HIM"....when it should be "...with HER".

8. When you learn a new skill, it would be nice if the skill would appear on the currently selected handbar. For instance: I have my magic spells on Handbar #3. If I had that Handbar showing when I buy a new magic spell, then that spell would go to the 3rd Handbar (if there were any empty slots).

9. Allow players to make a list of other players that can be allowed to enter their apartment. (Probably not a "small" issue either, but thought I would mention it, lol)

*Edit*
10. It would be nice to be able to bring up the loot (quartering) box with a hotkey (user-defined), rather than having to click on the creature to quarter it.

I did not read this entire thread, so please forgive me if these suggestions have already been made. Thank you for this opportunity to give my suggestions. :)

When reviewing new tatoos, haircuts etc. The face appears at the bottom of the box and this makes it difficult to see the whole effect with shoulders, armour etc. Maybe Kindle is just short, but could we have it so that the face fits with the eyes in the same place for each toon.

The Guild box is too small so it is difficult to manage Officers and high-officers. Could there be room for at least ten entries please. Maybe reduce the area at the top and increase the size.

On the compass, add another zoom size between 50m and 125m; suggest 80m.

An audible alert whenever a new chat appears. Maybe different tones for guild, chat window and around/region. I miss so many chats when I am hunting or healing.

When a team member is out of range, remove them from the map, rather than leave a false icon of where they were.

An indication of how many HO's and Officers there are, i..e HO - 3/4 to show you have three HO's allocated out of four possible.

The following emotes, /disagree, /hug, /yes, /no

Filters when giving mission mats to NPCs so that only mission items are shown.

Those were the quick fixes/annoyances, These are the modifications.

Be able to drag and drop Stanzas into you Inventory (with suitable filters), drag them back to the handbar or exchange them with other people.

Ability to drag and drop names from the guild window into your friends window.

Improve the ability to cut and paste text, e.g. a link given to you in a tell.

More ranges on the compass , atm its 25-50-125-250 id like 25-50-75-100-150-200-250

Be able to take less than all the mats from a Forage extract Take/Drop window as you can with mob quarter (by right-clicking the mat icon iirc) and/or when you Take and your inventory cant fit in the full amount it should take as much as it can leaving the remainder

On the mission Give box remove items from appearing if they are of the wrong type , ie I have a mission to deliver a parcel to an NPC when I go to Give the selection box shows all the items in my Inventory including things like TP tickets -too much clutter is created this way and its often hard to find the right object in time if the NPC just happens to be patrolling an agro spawn (Evil Devs :p )

More discriptions for Weather states so it would be possible to tie down in what condition mats pop , some ppl have said there are visable signs but if these do exist (outside of PR) im not sure they show at all graphics settings

The "Center Map" button on the Map Window should return you to your current location map centered on your position when you veiw the "All Lands Map" or the map for another land atm it does nothing

before playing with affs (or reading the manual) I thought links window was one where pasted links would automatically be stored.

Something like automatic link grabber would be nice - and there are regex etc libraries in client that could be used to automate that... maybe with a player switch if the feature was to be enabled or not.

I really love this game but I think that there are too many limitations that not only don't enhance my gaming experience but are actually annoying.

For example, I would like to be able to let other people to have admin rights on my packers / appartment.

Also, there is no reason why only the HO can remove things from the guild inventory. Let the guild leader grant this right to as many people as he wishes.

I' m not sure if this fits in the category of 'small changes and improvments':

allow players that have gone through citizenship and cult allegiance to have distinguishable titles perhaps?

Like 'Disciple of Jena', 'Monk of Ma-Duk', 'Federal Citizen', 'Royal Citizen', .....
There' s a lot of possibilities applicable to RP and RP events should such titles become available.

Maybe even allow a sort of custom titles? (though I could see that getting 'abused' by some)
(I heard somewhere that there' s only a limited number of slots for titles available; if so, would it perhaps be possible to expand the number and have at certain events a title as a reward, but used very rarely, like the Nexus event way back)

Titles:

I don't want to be a "Master Jewler" until I am 250 in each jewlery tree (same for other crafts)

I want to be a "Master Diadam Jewler", "Master Earring Jewler" (etc).

When I get 250 in all Forage Trees I want to be a "Master Forager".

250 in all Magic trees, "Magic Avatar"

250 in all craft trees, "Master Crafter"

250 in all Melee Trees, "Combat Master".
