You can't have a Kami NPC attack a Karavan NPC...

Well this has destroyed a bunch of ideas I had for content. I was so looking forward to a Kami/Karavan battle. I'm going to be honest and say this has killed a huge amount of enthuasium I had for the ring. I mean what is honestly the point if you can't create any content where the two major storyline entities can't fight each other?

I've seen a kami and a karavan guy fight each other.

I put both a kami and a karavan near each other and they attacked each on the test.

Pfft, Kami and Karavan don't dirty their hands with fighting. =P They get their homin pets to do it for them.

Exactly what type of kami and karavan npc did you have attack each other? Can you take a screenshot? I tried it and then asked in klients and was told by one of the devs (through another person) that you can not do this.

If it's not possible, it's probably because the program would go mad trying to figure out "who would win in a fight." :p

Unless it was changed from alpha to beta, you could. An act in one of my scenarios had an army of Karavan wipe out some Kami. Can't tell So and so to kill so and so, but put em next to each other and watch em go at it! > : )

roflmao

In all seriousness tho... when they went to beta I seem to remember they changed it so that kami (and karavan) NPCs were "non-combat entities" or something.... could be wrong tho :o

Will try and recreate it when the servers are back up and will get a screenshot posted after that (if it still works).

Edit: It seems like you are right, you currently can't make the two factions fight each other. I managed it back in the beta by just having a kami npc standing near a karavan npc, but that doesn't seem to work now.

Hopefully it will at some point in the future.

Actually I happen to have a shot of Karavan & Kami fighting. But I took it before the ATS tester-wide access. Not sure if the few of the animation bugs are fixed now. Had to go through all 399 clips I shot!

Even with poor encoding its 11 MB, sorry about that all my clips were high resolution. Click Here to get it. ^.^

When I asked on Klients I was told that their not being able to fight is on purpose.
