What are you trying to accomplish? Moving a single or group of NPC's from one area to another?

Routes are used in sequences. An entity has sequences (in the lower left of the window) A sequence is the activiteis that Entity undertakes. You can tell and NPC to follow route 'Patrol the lake', once you have created the route, select an entity and create the sequence.

Sequences are if you want NPC to change what they do: Follow route for XX seconds, they wander in predefined area Y, eat in predifined area Z then follow route again.

As said in previous post, at bottom left of screen a grey square appear with a kind of arrow inside and all listed action are below.
Can be edited to change order or timing and so on.

If u just need NPC to follow a route, select NPC, click route in bar below and trace the route... if the NPC is not at the start of the route itself, a red doted line will be sign he is linked to that particualr route..
