Its basically what mode your video card uses, different video cards prefer different modes.
For example generally if you have an ATI card you are best off in Direct3D mode and Nvidia you are more at home with OpenGL. There are exceptions to this rule, but you should go with these first and switch only if you have a stability problem with one mode. Edit: Moved to Technical Support |
