Cant get past the character selection screen (resolved)
 

Started up the game normally, it went through all the file checks etc OK,
then when I select a character from the Character selection window, it just pauses a bit then returns me to the same page.
No error message.
Internet working.
according to http://www.ryzom.com/home_page the servers are up.

puzzled.

OK, so despite the total absence of any error message, and the server still showing as green on the home page - the server was actually down.

I think that could use some improvement.

I'm sorry you have experienced this difficulty but due to the home page now being static the server state is no longer updating there.

JFYI: adding a trailing slash seems to bring up a live version of the page. (http://www.ryzom.com/home_page/)

Also I've got a tool in my sig for this.
