Can we leave Silan yet?

Simple silly question, I'm just wondering if new accounts or inactive accounts can leave Silan before the subscription cycles begin anew. I have a character on the mainland but I want to play with a new one, for some reason Chiang's leaving the island mission isn't working or I'm just doing it wrong. :)

I get the mission from Chiang, talk to him then mission completes and nothing happens. I tried to talk to the teleporters, but there's no option for the mainland.

Sorry if this an annoying nooblet question I couldn't find an answer on the forums and I'm squeezed for time!

Yes, I left at lvl 21, but there seems to be a bug with certain missions, if you haven't completed them you can't leave, somake sure you have no outstanding missions, if you have finish them and try again. Otherwise put in a ticket and see if the CSR's can help.

Ohhh that explains it I haven't done most 'missions' and I don't really want to :(

Another question, can we pick which city to start in now? I know gameforge was going to implement that.. Never knew if it panned out or not.

EDIT: Ok so apparently if you have done some missions but not completed the final one you can't leave the island yet. But I created a totally new character and was able to get the mission to go to the mainland.... Ahem. Kinda weird, but at least I can leave whenever I want now.

;)

Re: Can we leave Silan yet?

You could leave the island at about lv 16/18 in combat and survive easily on the mainland.

But if you complete the quests you get some really good gear, that will do you for quite a while, until you get yourself sorted with friends / guild /craftimg.

If you have a guild organised, for when you come to the mainland the gear becomes a moot point.

On saying that, the island is a great training tool for all the things you need to know on the mainland, I would suggest only leaving, if you are happy with your knowledge of the game.

basically you can leave the island any time you want, but NOT if you still have missions in your mission journal. As they can't be abandoned, they'd be stuck in there forever if u could leave with them still active.

just finish your current missions 'n try again ;)

As said by someone else, its only the missions in your rmission log that count, missions that haven't been taken shouldn't affect your leaving options.

The answer to your second question is, yes, there is a recommended city start location for each Homin race, but you can pick another races city if you want.

Re: Can we leave Silan yet?

Allrighty thanks for the replies. I am familiar with the basics of the game and I don't mind leaving without the armor honestly. I did fine the last time I left the mainland, I had leveled past the critters in the immediate area around the city and this time I want to be able to do more around the city. Also I don't mind having to work to get my stuff, digging and crafting or selling, because otherwise there isn't that much more to do.

Surviving is basically the game. :D I'm not sure what I just said made sense.. On my main character I had lots of people help me, got a nice sword in newbie land. Then got amazing armor in the mainland and cats, and money ect.. All awesome help but this time I want to take things a lot slower and go at my own pace and really learn the game.

This approach will truely get more out of the game for you, than burning through cats and levels, good luck and happy hunting :)
