1. implementation of checkpoints - crap
2. it's not possible to see your last result, only best result

What, exactly, do you find "crap" about the implementation of the waypoints? Just saying something is crap doesn't help anybody.

I hope that doesn't mean that getting critted in the legs (causing a slowdown) by a random gingo also means you abandon the race, that'd be rather annoying.

This is no longer the case; only speed boosts will now auto-abandon the race (along with losing your mek or porting.)

Should have some directional indicator on the track so you know where to go from the start :)
And sometimes it can be hard to spot there's a waypoint because the track between say wp2 and wp4 is so straight it's easy to miss that there's a wp3 halfway along it.

That's been that way for ages though, not specific to this race sequence.

ok
1. Start. If you want to save few seconds - you start not at start flag, but in 150m range of sight of that flag (closer to waypoint №1 ofc)
2. In the way. When you approaching to waypoint №n (range 150-120m) you begin pixelhunting this waypoint (sometimes it's (flag) became invisible, you can depend only on your memory), right-clicking it, waiting for menu string (lag/ping issue?), checking it, waiting for confirmation (lag/ping issue?)
3. Finish. Same situation as at 2nd paragraph. It's better to hit finish as soon as you saw flag (range 150-120m) to save few seconds too, so it's same case as Start.

We have one word in our language that describes the occupation of such a process, but I will not spell it here.

Yeah, it's perfectly possible to do short-range clickable options too. See the merchants for example. :p

Yeah, or even better why not just run in a straight line...

I noticed just before the last race was removed that the rules had been changed so that you now have to be within 15 meters of a flag to activate it. (You can still select the flag from up to 120 meter, but cannot 'check' it unless you're within 15 meter.)

That should take care of most of the worries of unfair advantages for people using targeting macros or unfair disadvantages for people whose flags load slowly for the next races. :)

Just hope in line of this rule that they won't be placing flags inside the Goo anymore. :p

Work was already in progress on the distance from waypoint issue and has now been completed, as dianiru already discovered: As of now, the maximum distance to use a waypoint is 15 m.

Also your latest time is now shown in parentheses after your best time in the standings; thank your for the suggestion, r1vver.

The NPC at the start gives you the direction you must start in, but I agree that and the 'hidden' waypoint issue you describe are things to be improved upon.

yea the race map needs vast improvement. The racing gets better with each interation though so good job for that. :) though now I can't do a very good drive-by checkpoint check, which was kinda fun. maybe extend the area to 30m? so we don't have to stop but still need to be close?
