Yay, good read, and many good points.
In most cases, I think your suggestions are valid, and perhaps in some of the few where I disagree I think that with time and more experience, you'll reach an "aha moment" and better understand the why.
I've tried any number of other MMOs, and I always end up back home on Atys, so my prejudices are pretty well set and I won't belabor comparisons. Suffice to say that the story, the complexity and the community are what I like.
When I introduce people to the game, I always start with a warning that Ryzom is not a game that you will fully understand the first day, week, or month (or year?). I recommend taking it easy, finding things that you enjoy, and absorbing it as you go. It seems that people with that approach enjoy it more, and stay longer, than others. Still, that's not what everyone wants from a game, and there's nothing wrong with that.
With that said, I think you've made a very valuable contribution, and I hope that over time some of your suggestions will be realized.
EDIT: The second piece of advice I give new players is to do things the way that is most fun for you, without regard for how others do things, and certainly without regard for what is the fastest or most efficient way to advance, unless that is what is particularly fun for you. TMTOWTDI and YMMV fully apply.
