There used to be a common issue on the Ryzom front page with your language preferences getting lost between pages. That was fixed, but maybe it remains on one or two links. All of the pages I've checked, going through account upgrade, do have little flags at the top to switch languages, so if anyone else has the same trouble, look for those.
