Personally i think you (as anyone else) can play the way you prefer.

Of course, if you want to play an evil character you can expect part of the community reacting not so good at you. At same time you can even find other players that can follow your path.

Anyway, an evil character should expect some hate, otherwise why playing that way? Wanting to be evil and at same time wanting to have good relations with the whole community sounds a bit non sense.

As long as it is done in the context of the game (a sort of rp, but with no need of a real rp) and not kidding or harrassing specifically at a single people, it's okay in my opinion.
