Time Zone Tables
Below is a list of time zones and their modifier for summer and winter time.
If you live in a location that does not use Daylight Savings, then you will always use the Winter time table. Daylight Savings time (ie summer time) begins in the United States on the first Sunday in April and ends on the last Sunday in October. Daylight Savings time (ie summer time) begins in the UK/EU on the last Sunday in March and ends on the last Sunday in October Summer Time HADT -9 AKDT -8 PDT -7 MDT -6 CDT -5 EDT -4 ADT -3 NDT -2.5 GMT 0 BST +1 IST +1 WEST +1 CEST +2 EEST +3 Winter time HAST -10 AKST -9 PST -8 MST -7 CST -6 EST -5 AST -4 NST -3.5 GMT 0 CET +1 EET +2 Not sure of your time zone abbreviation? Here's a standard to summertime abbrev table for the above. HAST = HADT AKST = AKDT PST = PDT MST = MDT CST = CDT EST = EDT AST = ADT NST = NDT CET = CEST EET = EEST BST = British Summertime IST = Irish Summertime WEST = Western EU Summertime Time Zone Abbreviations Australia and New Zealand and Brazil (remember their seasons are backwards to the Northern Hemisphere) Summer Time Brazil -2 GMT 0 CXT +7 WST +9 CST +10:30 EST +11 NFT +11:30 Winter time Brazil -3 GMT 0 CXT +7 WST +8 CST +9:30 EST +10 NFT +11:30 This should hopefully solve any problems if someone doens't know the time differance between where they are and the event timezone posted for an event. If I have missed any timezones, please reply and I'll add them in. Last edited by kostika : April 15th, 2005 at 11:49 AM. |

Re: Time Zone Tables
Turke...I don't make any rules here. The point of the time zone table is so it doesn't matter. My only suggestion is that event planners link to the post when they make their event posts.
Mikey...Why are you confused? I edited the main post. Thanks for the compliments guys. I hope I've got everyone covered now. Last edited by kostika : April 15th, 2005 at 11:50 AM. |

Actually, it's EAST +10 EADT +11 We don't have daylight saving in Queensland, and so we remain +10 when the southern states move to +11. Just to make things confusing. |
