Window Display Error
Whenever I click to play Ryzom it comes up with this error:
" Can't display a window display (1024x768 32bit)" I'm not terribly sure what it means, what settings does the moniter be for Ryzom to work? |

Re: Window Display Error
As per the Error Code FAQ:
Can't create a window (1024x768 32 bits) - check windows display settings and set desktop to at least 1024x768 resolution with 32 bits colour depth and that Direct3D or OpenGL are enabled - you can also get this message if the computer does not have adequate video hardware (onboard video chips like SiS or Intel are prime examples of video systems that cannot run Ryzom) Here is the solution from the Intel graphics sticky: Onboard video chips such as Intel, SiS, lower end Mobility Radeons, etc will not usually work well with Ryzom. You may get the 'cannot create window' error or see white everywhere. To possibly get Ryzom going with one of these then run the 'game configuration' from the launcher and do the following: -- disable all 4 options in 'display advanced' -- lower all sliders to 'low' in 'display details' -- select 'OpenGL' from 'display' -- launch the game and click 'okay' when the message about 'AGP not detected' comes up -- when in game open the 'game configuration' window and disable 'shadows' and 'microvegetation' and lower the 'LoD' sliders for 'Landscape' and 'Characters' -- you will most likely see missing textures and things may not look the best, but you can play around with settings more |
