Dragons of Shadow – Now Recruiting

The setting of the sun is seen by many homins as the end to a long and hard day, a time when bellies are filled and thirst slaked in the many bars and stalls dotted around Atys. Into one such bar walked a particular zorai. But unlike many of the patrons, he was not here to rest or dine. Stopping only to scan the bar, he moved silently towards the post board, and in one motion, added a note to the board before turning to leave.

The note read thus:

The Dragons of Shadow are once again recruiting. We are a mercenary guild based in Zora, and we welcome interest from all and sundry. From crafters to warriors, novices and veterans, all are welcome to seek us out and enquire about us. Honour and duty are our watch-words, as are camaraderie and sincerity.

Unaligned to neither Kami nor Karavan, neutral to all civilisations, we offer our services to all who are prepared to bid for our presence in the defence, or assault of any of Atys’ numerous Outposts. Though we cannot compare to some of the other guilds in terms of age or size, we hold our members close, and strive for the welfare and safety of all who call us brother.

By day break, the message had been posted in every bar and meeting place across Atys. But will any answer its call? Only time will tell.
