Land of Rudolph’s Licks

Almost a year ago, a once jolly fellow named Santa, from a distant planet called Earth, packed his bags and fled to Atys. Now, no longer so jolly, he infringes on lands here along with his party of unusual creatures called Elves. They appear to be creating mysterious evil pets for suspicious purposes. The local residents have vowed to put a stop to this, and even Santa’s own four legged helpers are committing mutiny against him, led by one with a shiny red nose.

If you dare to venture into this land, you will need to decide Santa’s fate for yourself.

FAQs

When can I visit this land of Rudolph’s?... Rudolph has opened portal access starting from right now, until New Year’s Day, 24hours a day.

Santa is naughty and not nice this year?... This is for you to decide.

Can I sit on Santa’s Lap?... Come visit him. You can try.

Will there be Christmas Presents?... Some of the inhabitants of this land may be willing to talk to you and reward you with… a surprise. In fact really adventurous Homins will find at least 4 different “Christmas Presents” and other strange events.

Can I take my loot out of this land?... Reportedly, someone attempted to take a “Glowing Christmas Thingie” back to the mainland and that did not turn out too well.

Will I die?... I guarantee it! This is no tame easy go lucky land like the north pole back on Earth. But this is also a magic land where you have no death penalty. Low level players have plenty of opportunity here too. Some rewards can be discovered without any combat.

Is this anything like the “Land of Lick” I visited back during the lag monster right before the world ended?... It’s got some of your friends from that land, but it’s very different.

Some Icky Techie FAQs

How do I enter this land?... go to any Ring Terminal (except the one on Silan), select “Land of Rudolph’s Licks” and click Join. There is a Ring Terminal near the entrance of each main city.

Can I enter if I’m on Silan (the starter island)?.... No. But even a level 1 character who’s come to the mainland can join in the fun.

Why can’t I get in?... If you have an account that was created before the world ended, and was not active (paid up) when playing became free, then there is no way to enter any Ring Scenario. Free accounts created after the world started again work fine. Old accounts that played while the world was ending work fine.

Why do I get booted while trying to get in?... On some odd occasions, you could crash while trying to enter, or you could find yourself mysteriously ported to some spawn point in the Desert (after which the scenario wont even be listed for you on the terminal). I have found that in almost all cases, exiting the game and then logging back in will allow you to enter fine on a second attempt.

I thought you need to have “Knowledge of Atys” to get in?... Na that’s a myth. Any character, even level 1 fresh from Silan, can play in the ring just fine. You only need “Knowledge of Atys” for full access to features when creating your own ring scenario.

One little thing to avoid… when interacting with occupants of this land, don’t click too quickly (i.e. avoid the impulse to double click). For some reason fast clicking occasionally causes things to behave incorrectly.

And there is no use of sending a request for invite, because you should be able to join anyway.

Really great scenario! Spend quite some hours there today to finish it, and we even needed the help of marie to finish it.
