AoC is an interesting compromise between a single-player game and an MMO... unless something else catches my eye first, that is where I'll end up. And if the Reapers go elsewhere in the meantime I'll probably follow suit as well, we'll see. -- Owagwyn, RotD

A friendly helpful community.
A deep crafting system that rewards player knowledge.
no reliance on "phat lewt" to progress in the game.
A game where I can team with my friends, or new acquaintances, or solo, as the mood takes me.
A game where the CSRs are there to help people.

now, where can I find a game like that ??

while Im waiting, Ill be playing windows minesweeper

Conan is the most appealing to me... Not only gamewise but that it isn't released yet. I grew up with this game and the players... when that launches I get the same advantage plus some nice game features. Any other game until then is to "fill in" the time.

Its really not all that bad, but just cant fill ryzoms shoes!
I dont really think any game can.. So if any of you are there playing wow, you can find Bravy on the Alterec mountain pvp server - Horde side..

Like I said in the other thread, though, I'm playing Horizons for the foreseeable future. Also Wurm Online.

Is Horizons any good? I was reading the review on MMORPG.com (http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/s...view/gameId/17) and it seems like a strong contender.

EDIT: Maybe EVE would be good. A little too much PVP

I've been playing eve since before ryzom so will probably just fall back to that if things go pearshaped here.

i tried last chaos and found it too much of a cliche. the game play was kinda fun but it was like they had read 'the noob' and just made a mmo from it. i found it very unorigonal and so got very boring very fast for me. also i hate games that force me to chose a class of charachter at the very start. in that respect i guess i'm biassed in my dislike for it.

Re: What game will this beautiful community play now?:)

I've played a few games since leaving Ryzom and Vanguard was pretty good for a while. It has a wonderful, vast world, lots of crafting options (including boats, houses, guildhalls as well as the usual) and combat is quite challenging. On the negative side the system requirements are high, community not huge and it can become a grind. It's also class based like most MMOs these days.

Currently I'm in Lord of the Rings Online but the endless quests can wear you down. The PVP is fun where you either use your character or a premade max level evil character that you can customise and unlock abilities for.

I'm pretty excited about Pirates of the Burning Sea, stress test is currently on and open to all for a few days.

WELL Online looks great, I'm definitely going to check it out and numbers are growing on the international fansite that Komissar has kindly set up.

All of this is just to pass the time before Age of Conan is released. I hope it doesn't suck
