The news spreads quickly...

Suibom listens the increasing murmur of the background as he walks through Yrkanis. The people don't know what to make of the news that has filtered down from the land of the desert. A call to all homins means that this is not likely to be part of the religious wars that have been pushing back and forth since he arrived in Yrkanis. However, this is a declaration of a government official and they cannot be trusted, not by Sui anyway. It would be good to see all homins working together again, but what is the underlying motivation for a call to all, without the selective picking of loyal guilds?

A thought rises above the distrust, rearing itself up above the feeling that the government sects are trying to play puppetmaster again, rearing itself high as a silhouette covered in a shell of death's armor. A silhouette that haunts the nightmares of all homins. A silhouette that utterly destroyed the refugee camp villages that he grew up in...

“Well, my good friend,” Sui pats his mektoub mount on the shoulder as they walk through the city streets, “I think it may be time for me to end my seclusion.”

He looks around at the homins as they walk through the city, mostly Matis with clusters of other races here and there, all with an expression of dulled apprehension on their faces. He remembers fighting in camaraderie with previous guilds he was part of, homins of all races banded together to champion a cause.

“It is time to find a guild to call home again.” He changes course and begins making his way to a Matis friend he knew could help him remember his combat skills. “I'm not sure what this threat is, but if it is what I fear, we will all need to work together.”

Sui's gaze trails off to the sky. “The war between the armies of Jena and Ma-Duk will no doubt tear us all apart again, eventually...”

Resoluteness hardens his face as he looks back down to the path in front of him, “But for now.. for now I hope we can work together.”
