Installation issues.

I've downloaded the installer and it shows both ryzom and ryzom downloader on my desktop but when i click the downloader it will come up and ill begin to install it but it will say its encountered a problem and needs to shut down. following this, i need to reboot my entire comp just to open it back up and have it do it again. if i click ryzom nothing happens. just a black-background window comes up briefly and then closes itself. if i click ryzom and then try and open the downloader it wont work and i have to reboot. any clues on whats wrong?
