I'm guessing that right now they are working very hard on the core of the game (engine) to make sure it will be strong enough to support the new stuff implemented on the bark (content). Up to now, Spiderweb has known better than to do some "soon (TM)" type of of promises.

I agree with Kalindra, at the moment "they" are trying to reestablish a technical base for the game to built upon.
Of course it would be absolutely great if "they" stated so officially and we can only guess why "they" are keeping us in the dark about it. As long as this is the case however I also have to agree with Chibiarc, try the Ring and make your own stuff  The further you go on the Mainland, the more options you´ll get in the Ring to play with. So, have fun and don´t be shy about asking for help or someone to play with, so to say  You don´t need to do everything alone around here.
