Can't connect to the Ring server

Okay, so I clicked on Scenario edit, then let it go through the loading process. At the end of the loading process, the window turned white and froze for several minutes. When it unfroze, I saw the Connecting screen. It's been an hour now, and it hasn't moved from the Connecting screen.

How do I fix this issue?

Re: Can't connect to the Ring server

The most likely solution to this problem is to ensure you have all the necessary ports opened on your firewall/router - check this thread for the information required

Re: Can't connect to the Ring server

I tried enabling the ports for the Ring server, but that didn't help at all. I'm able to access the main game just fine, but I can't access the Ring server.

EDIT: After enabling those ports, I'm now getting a "Please wait..." icon on the Connecting screen. And it's still not moving along.
