Crashing, then not crashing, then crashing again

I installed Ryzom yesterday and it kept freezing and disconnecting as soon as I logged in. I manually added the Ryzom exes (client, patcher, etc) to the permitted programs list on my firewall and I was able to play without problems.

That is, until today when the problem started again. I also got this error message during a crash.


Access Violation exception generated at 0x5ED04E96, thread attempts to read at 0x44C.
The thread attempted to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.

sorry for late reply, i have (had) similar issue.

its your sound card/drivers. until you can find a better response disable sound and should be ok I'm not techie enough to actually fix the issue, sorry!
