This is the latest (and hopefully greatest) version of the
DV Plug-in. It is
NOT a released version, and is therefore NOT supported.
(We are interested
in any problems you have with it, of course). The problems
it fixes are
described below.

In order to install it, either:
1) untar the file (Sun, OS9)
2) unzip the file (PC)
3) Double-click the .sea file (Mac)

This will create a directory(folder) called DV053196.
Inside of this directory are all the pieces of the new
plugin. To install them:
Mac/PC authoring board systems:
1) Copy the DV053196 directory to your MediaMogul directory.
2) Assuming your CDIMAGES directory is within your
script2disc directory, set your /dd directory to the
script2disc directory (using the Set MediaMogul Directory
menu option in CDi Playback).
3) At the "$" prompt in CDi Playback, type the following
lines:
chd /h0/DV053196
attr install -peeprrpww
install

Sun/OS9 Systems:
1) Copy the DV053196 directory to your MediaMogul hard
drive.
2) Type:
chd /h0/DV053196
attr install_os9 -peeprrpww
install_os9
3) Copy cdi_dv in the DV053196/CDIMAGES directory to the
CDIMAGES directory on your script2disc directory or drive.
4) First, change directory to your script2disc CDIMAGES
directory. Then:
OS9 users should type:
attr cdi_dv -peepwwprr
Sun users should type:
chmod 777 cdi_dv

o The latest engine-player combination is not working
at all!!
       01/23/97 -- aa
The library files were out of sync with the play
plug-in. -aa
--------------------------------------------------
FIXED:
o If the first play is in STILL mode, centering is not
carried out.
       12-26-95 -- aa
--------------------------------------------------
OPEN
o If DVPro is in STILL, a $DV_CONTINUE restarts video
but does not
start audio. A $DV_NORMAL restarts both video and
audio.
       02/16/96 -ach
-------------------------------------------------
FIXED
o When scanned past the end of the file, dvpro was
going to play
mode and playing the chunk between the last entry
point and the
       end of the file.
       02/20/96 -- aa
-------------------------------------------------
FIXED
o Sequential DV plays show black between clips if
       no INTIME is specified.
If the user starts play from an entry point, no
black is displayed.
However, DV had a problem where if start time was
00:00..,
no checks were done to see if 00:00.. is an entry
point. This
fix, makes sure that if EPD is loaded, and if 00 is
an entry point,
       the screen is not blanked.
       03/07/96 -- aa
-------------------------------------------------
FIXED
o When run in TEST mode, with no DV card present, the
dvpro module and
the dvplay module miscomunicated. The result was
that an error of
168 was returned by dvplay. This indicated, falsely,
that dvpro was
not running. A side effect of this problem was some
memory trashing.
This problem has now been fixed.
