License on which current icons are published says clearly that all derivatived must be published as well, new icons are derivatives. Therefore it's not a question if but when unless ryzom developer just don't want community to have them.

not exactly. if YOU modify the icon, then the license applies to the modified icons. If THEY (as original and only contributor to those icons) modify, then they don't need to release them under same license.

so you should not ask 'when', but 'if' the new icons will be released.
