Compiling on Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate?
Added by TomH about 5 years ago
The steps for Build for Windows is a little outdated for people using the latest version of Visual Studio on their machines.
http://dev.ryzom.com/wiki/ryzom/BuildForWindows#Visual-Studio-Configuration
The newest VS10 doesn't come with VC++ Directories anymore and that makes it a little hard to find where exactly we have to go to configure VS10 to be able to compile the project.
Anyone knows if there's any guide available to compile Ryzom and the tools under VS10?
Thank you so much.

Currently, vs10 is not supported. We know vs10 is crashing when compiling Ryzom and as you say, it doesn't have the same way to setup directories.
If you cannot make it running by yourself, you should use vs9 as explain in the wiki.

Thank you vl,
I pretty much got frustrated (hehe) and decided to uninstall vs10 and get the vs9 for now.

As vl said, we installed VC++ 2010 Express with latest Windows SDK (for 64 bits compilers) and after converting/tweaking all projects and solutions, compiler crashes (it's not our fault :p), so we don't have other choice than wait for a service pack 1 for VC++ 2010.
