Hello.

After speaking to NPC, trying to take the first quest, EGS service crashes with error:

Have a look at

http://dev.ryzom.com/boards/17/topics/3833

I'm trying to apply packpro's solution right at this moment for a second time (first attempt failed), to see if our problem get's fixed.

P.S.: If i hit "ignore" on the error-message, and check "don't send report", the game continues.

Thanks.

Second attempt failed. I roll back, to see if i did something wrong at any other place... :)

Wait few hours, i rebuild ryzom service EGS and testing after applying patch. :)

It doesn't work here, but my c++ is a bit rusty, most probably i'm simply doing it wrong.

Recompile service EGS with a patch http://dev.ryzom.com/boards/17/topics/3833, referring to the NPC and the service does not crash, get out of the game and the service also does not crash. THANK YOU!!!. Helped. Hours of service, 1 hour 42 minutes and without any problems.

Can you upload the patched file as an attachment, please? :)

Funny.
When doing the original patch, it failed during compilation.
You did not implement the whole patch, but, for my untrained eyes, only parts of it.
It seems, the right parts... as now: IT WORKS HERE TOO! Yay! :-)

It seems, i misinterpreted packpros instructions. My fault.

So, kudos to packpro, and a healthy "thank you RomKaz!" for uploading your file. :)

And both of us are to happily /emote:dance ... :-D

P.S.: ... perhaps edit/add a "... (solved)" to the Subject of your FIRST (starting) post, so everyone knows, this has indeed been solved... ? ;-)
