build_gamedata pipeline: 3ds max export errors

Hey there and a happy new year to everyone :)

The last days I did some tests with the gamedata pipeline. During export the script fails sometimes due to a 3ds max crash or the export fails. Only few files fail, so this is not tragic but annoying.

All max files are imported and the texture pathes are correct. At the moment I cant put a log file here, because the pipeline is still running. I will submit the log, when everything is complete.

Are these export failures normal or does anybody have the same experience?

Krolock,

Can you provide a list of files that fail? There are some I have not yet figured out how to fix (kitin queen animations for example) and there are many that need to be upgraded through this process:

  1. Reset the scene
  2. Merge the problematic MAX file
  3. Select all objects when merging
  4. Run nel_assets_png_database.ms
  5. Save replacing the original

kitin queen animations sounds familiar ;)

I´ve done this process already during nel_assets_png_database.ms script, but I will run it will all failed files after the pipeline is complete. Maybe it helps.
