Server Binaries?
Added by tristan439 over 3 years ago
I am looking to run a Linux server (CentOS), but when I go to the Linux binaries page, all they have is an Ubuntu PPA. Can someone provide me with an RPM?

You will have to build your own binaries from the source :

I didn't test CentOS but i could.

The problem is my server will take hours on the builds, so it would be easier. Would it be possible for you to try, and provide me an RPM?

If it takes hours to build on your server, you won't be able to run it.
What is you server ?

I guess. I probably should start a new thread for this, but I have another problem. When I run the server I built on Windows, I get an error 4010. What is wrong with it?

Thats what I have tried. It still gives me the error.

No Ryzom Core contributor is using a RPM based distro or plan to provide RPM to the community :(
So you have 2 choices :
- find someone who is able to do that
- package them yourself :)

I will test when i will find time.
Could you tell me which version of CentOS you're using ?
And note that CentOS is not as good as RedHat (for example), many packages are outdated.
I'm using CentOS on 1&1 servers and it's a pain.

@Molator: I am using CentOS 5, with 1GB ram. As for the 4010 error on my Windows, the new database does not help. Any other suggestions?

It's working with that config file if you don't change anything (and you don't have to).
