a place to find a team ?

Added by Nepherkaan over 8 years ago

Hi all,

The first thing that came to my mind when i saw this great news (Ryzom becoming OpenSource) was :
Wahou, so huge, so many things... i can't do it alone.

So, could it possible to have a place here ( a sub forum ) where we can find a team to build something new, debug, document, wiki, new arts etc... ?
Informations like Project idea, leading dev email, active contributors, preferred language, related or not to Ryzom etc. would be great to decide me helping working on some stuff.

+
Greg

I'm looking for a team too, although I'm looking for a team to design an MMO to be made using Ryzom core, not looking for a technical project. I'd also love to read other people's descriptions of what they want to make with this software. I was trying to get some discussion started about that in the "Introduce yourself" thread, which seems like the most logical place for matchmaking individuals into teams and introducing our project ideas as well as ourselves. But no one has really responded. :(

Joining or creating a team. The purpose is to find people sharing same ideas...
I'm more interested in adding mods to the "official ryzom client", you can find hundreds of ideas here http://feedback.ryzom.com/forums/2600-english.
Some people are more interested in graphics & models, or adding quests, making their own game etc. But how is it possible to know if someone is already working on sth and if he's looking for some help ?

As an example, First idea that came to my mind :
Radar interference feature.
Activated because of :
- Outpost drilling system making interference,
- Weather (storm, lighting).

- Enabled or not thru your shard administration tools.
- Radar interference would add/remove dots on the radar, changing color etc. and a noise effect(random scanlines).

Not a huge work at first sight (beware of the second :x).
But, i don't want to be alone on this, i want to share with others (and C++ is not my favorite language too ^^).
