ryzom doen't start glx problem

hi,
i m under dibian squeeze 2.6.32-5-amd64
nvidia 9600GT driver v: 195.36.31
direct rendering: yes

error message:

X Error of failed request: GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest
Major opcode of failed request: 135 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 16 (X_GLXVendorPrivate)
Serial number of failed request: 80
Current serial number in output stream: 87

i play other 3Dgame without probleme like "regnum online" "mega glest" "Xmoto" etc...
help me, PLZ!

I analyzed your log and I don't see any error message.

The only thing I can base on is the last message :

2011/02/21 10:50:23 INF 4146738912 <Unknown> driver_opengl.cpp 1911 initFragmentShaders : WATER: ARB_fragment_program OK, Use it

So I know it stops after that.

Btw I found similar cases in 3D games running using Wine or some native games like Tibia.

Ryzom is not using the same extensions or GLX functions than your other games so we can't compare :)

As I have a GeForce 9800 GT, I will try to install your drivers to check.

Currently, I'm under Ubuntu 11.04 with nouveau driver but with nvidia one (260.19.29) it worked.

You could try to find a 3rd party repository which proposes more recent packages for debian or use the official nvidia installer from :

ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/

(last version seems to be 270.29)
