I've attached a list of files, classes, and methods that would be affected by the switch. My limited knowledge of libwww prevents me from being positive I found all the classes and methods, but I'm sure of the files.

" libcurl is considered to be a modern replacement for libwww." according to wikipedia.
As libcurl is not in ubuntu and other distro anymore, Ryzom may not be accept in official repository.

I don't think libcurl is enough to replace completely libwww, we'll need too libxml2 module HTMLParser.

What about POCO ? http://pocoproject.org/index.html

C++, has an XML parser based on expat, licensed under Boost Software License 1.0 which is listed as compatible with the GNU GPL http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html
