Re: Seriously...

I hate to say it, Aelvana, but most of your posts aren't very constructive either. Perhaps you should take a break from reading the boards for a while. Just a suggestion, not a personal attack.

Re: EVERYONE IS *******-ROLLBACK

Sorry but that's a rather broad assumption. I've met and talked to a lot of people from around the world in many MMOGs and everyone likes to gripe and complain just as much as someone else from...

Re: Feature Wishlist Part 2

I believe this list was started to see what features we want included in the game. Would it be that difficult to copy and paste the features that you would like to see in game as a guild?

No one...

Re: Feature Wishlist Part 2

Wouldn't giving coordinates of where we extracted specific materials dumb the game down too much though? As with the /loc command, I think this would make it way too easy for people to create...

Re: Feature Wishlist.

Nothing personal, but I hope they do not implement a loc command, as I responded to an earlier thread. It is WAY too easy to make bots with that feature implemented/enabled (combat, walkbots, etc).

Re: Full screen mode setting ignored on startup?

If you load the external ryzom config utility, and notice that the render type is set to Auto, it will never remember window settings. You need to specify either D3D or OpenGL.

Re: Decay rates way to high :(

Actually there are quite a few instances where looted mats end up being superior than most choice mats. I notice this most prevalently when making weapons. A choice wood node that seems like it has...

Re: Feature Wishlist.

Cerest,
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but it's been hectic at work.
What I mean is an icon along the side, or even a dev digest forum (locked of course preventing users from posting) that lists the...

Re: LAAAAAG---UPDATE!!!!

Server just got nailed by a huge succession of lag. Got to the point where I couldn't do anything at all but just log out. Really hope you can get this resolved soon :(

Re: Feature Wishlist.

I agree, right now it seems to be rather flaky.

Although this would be nice, I'm kind of hoping it isn't put in. Way too easy to make bots with a /loc function (harvesting, walkbots, etc). There...

Re: Leaving Noobieland? THINK TWICE KIDDOS!

I respectfully disagree with your generalizations in regards to crafting is "way too easy" and "noobland acts as a semi-exploit".
Little to no challenge, is your crafting 65? It still takes work no...

Re: Magic help please

If you have the time and the patience, you can do them all on one character.
If you want to be a "battlemage" your best bet is to switch from heavy armor and wear medium or light. Don't use a two...

Re: Magic help please

Mugu, when you cast are you still using your melee weapon? Also, what mobs are you using acid on? If you are using it on Kipee, that's the largest reason. They are resistant to Acid damage.

If...

Re: mat question

I'll check my notes when I get home from work. I actually did write quite a bit down as I levelled armor craft, just can't remember it all off the top of my head. I think mixing qualities is fine...

Re: mat question

Any time you mix QL mats (from what I've seen) it will automatically drop the overall QL of the item made down to the lowest QL mat used.

In regards to how material attributes affect the item...

Re: whats with dodging and parrying?

It affects your adversary's parry percentage, not yours.
If you look at a material that is used for armor crafting, and look down at the stats, it will say Adversary Parry Percentage Modifier or...

Re: Order of leveling

I levelled Heavy Armor craft to 65 just by using store bought mats and doing missions. Almost the same level with melee weapon/1h/2h crafting. Rest of my crafting skills are in the 30 range. At...

Re: Viability of Light Armor in Melee

One thing you can do if you aren't sure is mix and match light armor with medium armor. Take a look at stats on the store bought armor to get an idea of how you can combine them.

Re: Leaving Noobieland? THINK TWICE KIDDOS!

Don't get so defensive. I was merely stating the fact that if you feel you erred going to mainland too soon, you don't necessarily have to restart.
In regards to the crafting, I know that. I'm one...

Re: whats with dodging and parrying?

That seems about right. The one thing I'm still trying to figure out is if it's better to have a lower adversary dodge modifier in mats for armor, or if it's still better to have a full bar. I'm...

Re: Viability of Light Armor in Melee

After level 50 for tanking I'd strongly recommend going up the heavy armor route as high as you can get (medium +). A good crafter with the right skills can offset some of the penalties both with...
