Re: arispotle down?

I suppose - server is UP... "Stalled", not "FS Lost". I think, again, login server ...

On other server down occasions, I've gotten some sort of unable to connect error.

Not that I'm complaining or anything....
The server system itself is up and working. It's the game that is not accepting connections. Used to see it alot in beta. Funny thing is, if you were able to connect just as the server started coming back up, you could get an empty world that you could roam around in freely (for just a minute or two max). But wherever you were when you got kicked just before it came back for real is where you loaded at.. I died to many a ragus/gingo that way.

Re: arispotle down.

*sigh* I find it hard to be happy when they announce the server is up and it isn't. It's all nice that the server is actually running, but if it won't accept connections, it's like saying a car runs well when it has no wheels. The fact that it's actually running doesn't much help anyone.

Now, when the server is down, it's kinda assumed that someone will work on it, as we're paying for the game. It's not a completely thankless job, as we are in fact sending money. I would like to see a message pop up in the forums that said something about *why* or *how* it's down (even if it's an admission that nobody knows that) and some guess of when it might be back up. Even a reliable server status screen would be a big improvement. It's a pain to see the server declared to be up, then find I can't log on.

Re: arispotle down?

As someone stated earlier the shards did in fact remain "live" but there was a connection issue. Unfortunately just as the connection issue was solved one of the game systems that is part of the Arispotle shard crashed and rebooted - causing a few minutes delay.
