![]() Hi, I just downloaded the game from Ryzom.com last night to give it a try, but when I went to get on this morning I found that the game would not go full screen! I tried messing around with the game configurations and such, but nothing would work. I can't really do much with the game because of it, just stare at the character creation screen (Or what I assume it to be) and wonder what to do . . . please help! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Game won't go full screen!
Game goes to fullscreen after character selection. Do you see button to start game in lower right corner in character selection screen0 If not, your window might be larget than your current screen resolution. Increase screen resolution to see button or make ryzom window smaller. There might be some key to switch to fullscreen at character selection, but I do not know that.

Yeah, I had that trouble too as I bought a new Monitor... Took me some time to remember that the Screenresolution was still at the "default" settings. Tried a little and finaly solwed the problem. Either the Screen resoultion must be changed, or the Games resolution must be switched to the screens settings. The later can be done In Game by typing u and then click on "Grafik-GeneralSettings" if i remeber correctly. Good luck! Acridiel (not an official Techi, but just trying to help ![]() |

There should be a button saying "create character" or something similar.

Re: Game won't go full screen!
Click on one of the question mark slots to create a character for that slot. Once you have created a char, you can play the game with it. Is the game screen larger than your monitor area? If so, what's your screen resolution set at? It sounds, though, like you just need to click on one of the creation slots and make a char.

Re: Game won't go full screen!
Lol, I thank you again, but you are not understanding. . .I can only see maybe 1/3 of the character slot squares on the left. When I do click on it, nothing happens. There are no option buttons that I can see - If there are buttons somewhere on the page, I can't get to them because I cannot scroll up or down. There is no option or available way to do so . . . my screen resolution is set at the default setting, but I played around with the other two options and configs. It did absolutely nothing. Im going to have a friend come over and look at it though . . . maybe he can figure it out.

Re: Game won't go full screen!
Try increasing screen resolution in windows, that should allow you to see whole window.

Re: Game won't go full screen!
Go to the ryzom folder and run ryzom_configuration_rd.exe
Select Display on the left menu. System default is "Auto" to whether ryzom should use OpenGL or Direct3d. You will have to try selecting OpenGL or selecting Direct3d and relaunch ryzom (and see which one works for you). Hope this will fix it. |

ok well first lets start out with finding out a little bit about your machine. i gotta know what im workin with here before i can give you any advice ![]() would you mind posting a dxdiag for me? heres how you make a dxdiag file. Go to your start button, then go to run. In the run box type dxdiag and press enter. Then once thats done loading on the first page there will be a "save all information" button, click it, and save the file to your desktop. Once thats done, open that file, copy and paste the entirety of it (its gonna be a bit big but thats ok) in here. also, after that, while you are making that next post, were gonna try to find out a bit more information about what exactly is happening with ryzom while you load it. So to get that information, I want you to open your ryzom directory and find a file called client.log. Open it, then paste along with the information from your dxdiag report, the last 10 lines from the client.log file. Each entry should be timestamped to help you find the last 10 lines ok? Once I have that information, I'll be able to troubleshoot this a lot better for you =) |
