Re: Kiss of Jena ~ is it worth it?
KOJ is total crap in my experience. Sometimes I've used it on 2 mil dp, logged back in 12 hours later and the dp was gone. Othertimes I've used it on less dp, and logged back in with either MORE dp or with no change whatsoever, even logging in up to two whole days later. Everytime I buy it I kick myself. My dp per death is 466k.
DP remover sucks! |

Re: Kiss of Jena ~ is it worth it?
Ok one thing that i have found that i think is quite annoying...
My first major skill was melee and i took it all the way to 250. However as im sure most of us are aware fighting as a melee can only really be done in teams to get 3k xp quickly. I found that once i was at this level if i died i was in a bit of a predicament. I needed to find a whole team of people to help me remove my huge death penalty, if i tried it on my own my DP just got bigger! Whats more this team had to be a high level team that would be prepared to take on Dai-Den only for about 10 minutes while i removed DP! Not an easy solution! My advice is to get your harvesting levels up as high as your levels that require a team (magic and melee). This way you dont have to rely on a team to remove DP and you can do it on your own! A bit off on the topic but its to do with DP all the same ![]() |

Wauw, you must be really special... The dp pacts work so maybe you should try and find out who's using you account when you are sleeping cuz there's NO way they will ADD to you DP while your offline.... |

Re: Kiss of Jena ~ is it worth it?
The other way around is possible as well, being lvl 234 lakedigging and my highest combat skill is 160. This is inconvenient, because a death during a hunt will take more then a few kills to loose.
On the other hand, digging will get me 2000 xp every 2 minutes (higher lvl digging tends to be a slow business) while healing might get me 3K every 20 seconds. In the end, it doesnt pay to switch skills for this. (if only because the lakelands require me to dig 200+ in Loria, a place I can get most efficient by death thus giving me more dp) All taken into account, high digging is nice but balance should be preferred. |

![]() ..would it make any difference to progress in every skill, so that I wouldn't have to depend on any one particular one for dp removal? I know that'd me more time consuming, but, would that be worth it?

Re: Kiss of Jena ~ is it worth it?
depends on which factors would make it less worth and which would make it more worth
melee and magic contain the risk of more dp harvesting can be a bit boring to some crafting can be expensive aside from that there is only the time factor playing into it ![]() |

Re: Kiss of Jena ~ is it worth it?
Leveling all skills just for DP removal purposes is kind of silly, I think.
Really, whatever you do, you should be able to find something that will kill your DP pretty quickly. At lvl 210+ I use lvl 100 skills to kill it fine. Maybe my expectations are lower. The trick though is jsut to find something that's quick and easy. Doesn't have to be 3k. If it's combat, something that only gives 900 but you can do it non stop, will kill DP fine. Foraging is also good even if it's slower, because you have all the producitivity of the mats you acquire regardless if you earned any XP in the skill. Just be sure to kill the DP completely before trying to craft, I hate mats wasted on DP ![]() |

Re: Kiss of Jena ~ is it worth it?
The thought of leveling all skills evenly, to me, isn't for dp depletion only. I kinda like the idea of being really good at all the skills I have, just to be that much more valuable as a char.

Re: Kiss of Jena ~ is it worth it?
If you'd like to level all skills for other reasons, tha's great and go ahead!
There are advantages to taking one skill up high fast, but it can be boring. I myself have a magic, a melee, and a forage all about equal as my highest. ![]() |
