Re: The Kitin Secret - Nothing is what it seems
Oh what heresy! Another ploy from the evil Kami to discredit our true Goddess, Jena! Don't be fooled by the lies!
OOC: So, I decided to try this ring scenario out and I don’t regret it one bit. I did have a bit of trouble because I went in there thinking the scenario would play out like missions a la Ryzom (Kill this mob, deliver this message, etc.). I hadn’t quite understood how powerful the Ring was, tbh. I was caught off guard with the puzzles and ability to trigger events and whatnot. I assume I was so used to playing Ryzom a certain way..I'm sure there are other scenarios that can eb played differently from how things are done on the mainland. It reminded me of when I used to console RPG and had to work things out and get to the bottom of it. As Bradcook stated, the puzzles are challenging, yet not impossible. In fact, during the scenario, I kept smacking myself over the head for not figuring out things as I should have...ya know how it goes...becomes so apparent only after ya done (Thanks for ze clues, Raynes. ). There is no need for almost any combat. Only one instance I recall where I did need to “fight”. The story itself was very interesting and actually makes me hope for more similar scenarios (not to say I believe in this heresy but man I do enjoy storytelling). I do have one concern. The devs have had these kinds of tools for how long? Don’t get me wrong, I know this company is no Blizzard (financially speaking, that is) and don’t have as much man power. But the fact that there is stagnation in Ryzom (story-wise...though in other places too) when content to advance the story can be created so easily is disappointing. Hopefully, the devs will start using the Ring a lot more. In the meantime, I’m going to be jumping on Rayne’s scenarios and anyone who reads this...I recommend you give this scenario a try. |

Ok, first off I'm only posting this because Raynes is paying me.
The scenerio was good. Try it. Raynes is the most awesome person who ever walked Atys. All should join the Kami or die. ________ In all reality, the scenerio was awesome! The clues were difficult to figure out but were great. Not go kill .... or deliver message to .... It was more like, "My time is running short, you must go and find the Amber Cube...Hurry, the Karavan are coming! Run!!" The npc's were hard to find if you didn't understand the clues and you had to think differently, not rush into everything with swords swing'n All in all, it was a great experience and I look foward to "The Price of Secrets". |

If masterless i think you dont need to have someone: the first person loading the scenario will be the one to manage the invitation:
happened to me with example scenarios
