After reaching the level 21 cap...

I reached the level 21 cap for the fighting and magic branches during missions. I haven't upgraded my account, yet. I went back to the NPC's and told them I finished the missions. I received some armour and a weapon, but no XP. If I upgrade, will the unrewarded XP for those missions appear, or did I just miss out?

I don't know but if you did miss out, contact a CSR and I bet they'll fix it.

missed it, since I very much doubt they'll keep track of all the xp that you could have gained.

I also seriously doubt that any CSR will give you the xp... its gone off into the ether... and its not really a loss... you can earn it all back in a very short amount of time.

Well, I notice that sometimes when i'm 99% to a new level, i'll earn like 3K or something wher ei only needed maybe 200 for a level.

You 'lose out' on all that XP to if i understand correctly, the point is, it's much better if you enjoy the ride as you'll get there anyhow, and that bit of XP wouldn't have mattered a whole bunc hin the end.

If you decide to upgrade your account, you will likely get that small amount and loads more very easily.. beyond 21 on the island, you would have had a very hard time moving up, much easier to get a good group on mainland and get 20 levels in an evening

Especially at < 100 in most fight skills

It does of course feel a bit sucky if the xp is "devoured" by the trial limitations, but the quests give like 2-5k xp and that's 2-3 kills that takes just a few seconds each.

You 'miss out' on the xp as the above have commented. Looking at it from another angle, If Nevrax did 'save' your xp they would in effect be allowing you to progress in your levels.
Which in essence allows you to progress above the level cap of 21....and if/when you decide to subscribe you will recieve all your xp/levels. i.e, pre-building your character for no cost to you .


Now that is what I call constructive interpretation of the level 21 cap

Actually, had he said "the asians and their credit farming" it might have been slightly discriminatory... as written it is not.
