Re: Despair and hope.
yeah , in other games you dont even notice csr's are present. Like rfo , tantra, eve. You rarely see a CSR. The game itself sets the tone of the community, not the csr's. If people start taking the piss, just put them on your ignore list etc.
The community is still what it is, after Nevrax leaving, then the csr leaving. We're still here like, those who think something huge is going to change(oh and like things really arent gunna changes for months now, no new content wise) or that we cant play with out a CSR being online, need to open your eyes, and realise that kind of customer support isn't usual , and more often then not, isn't needed in virtually all other mmo's. For example what we have on RFO atm, is about what we have now on ryzom, a couple of admin on the forums and on the end of tickets. None actually ingame, except on the very rare occasion. |

He presented in Aris this evening, nice guy indeed. And he stops the universe chit-chat about spanking again. In the most honorable Ryzom CSR's tradition ![]() Last edited by mithur : February 1st, 2007 at 11:53 PM. |

Re: Despair and hope.
Sounds good. Let's all see how this evolves, as the OP said.

Re: Is it realy that bad?
Do people really think they need the CSR's that much?
apart from the usual help i am stuck out in limbo tp bug i have only ever called upon a CSR once in 13 months of playing and that was due to the missing loot on AEN hunt. surely we are all big enough to wait a while until the new team is assembled and ready. |

CSR are important and tech support even more so, they have changed the server and removed a great tech support team, i cant play the game for more than an hour without having stupid lag and have to reboot my pc, im doing my best to be posative but its getting annoying. |

Re: Is it realy that bad?
I agree with all that has been said above. I have been shock by all the negativeness that has come from the old players here in the forums. IMHO it is far too early to start jumping ship. I would have thought the more experienced players would be trying to encourage people to wait out this little rocky patch as it is only a matter of weeks since the takeover.
Kyesmith, I get a little more frequent 'please wait' messages but nothing that impacts on the game. I'm with BT in the UK and a tracert shows mid to upper teens in mS end to end. Have you sent a tracert to Phelan? Or maybe contact your ISP. I'm no network expert but it all seems to go bad when it enters the 'teleglobe.net' network. ![]() |

The negative comments are the result of many concerns that still need to be addressed by Gameforge. Many have left the door open to return, I understand the 'veteran' players taking the 'last straw' view as the game has changed a lot since it's launch. And this has a positive side to it, Gameforge have recieved honest opinion and actions from leaving players.....much better than adopting 'negative forum trolls'. These forums are still more readable and intelligent than most (if not all) of other sites I visit. Quote:
.....And this is one example of why some players are observing before commiting to the game |
